Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! Thank you to all the parents and grandparents who helped make our Halloween day extra spooktacular! We had so much fun playing the skeleton drop game, getting tattoos, decorating cookies, and doing the cake walk! Then, we got the chance to show off our dance moves in the gym. We sure know how to boogie down and have a great time!

Button B's and Snow

The big excitement in our class today was the morning snow! Everyone was jumping with joy because they thought snow automatically meant it was Christmas. So we had to have a discussion about snow, and how Christmas isn't until December and the kids know that it is only October. We also created small "b's" out of buttons today! The kids loved it and loved showing me which buttons they chose. Earlier in the week we collaged big "B's" out of blue, black, and brown paper. You will see those displayed on our bulletin board along with our button "b's"!

Letter A Centers

On Wednesday, October 19 our class worked in three different centers that helped us practice writing/making the letter "Aa" and recognizing the letter "Aa". The most popular center involved making a big "A" and little "a" out of Playdoh! They had a blast and the letters turned out great! Another center was just practicing writing our big and little "a's". In the last center our kindergarteners had to circle words that started with "a". Once they found all the words that started with "a" and circled them, they drew a picture of "a" word that started with "a". I had pictures of words that started with "a" at the center to help give them some ideas. The centers were great practice and our kindergarteners really enjoyed them! Keep working on those "Aa's"!
